Bo Obama Gets Frisky

During a multi-day filming session at the White House, NBC’s Brian Williams knew what the Internet wanted to see.  Several segments of the final two hour program focus on Bo Obama, the most powerful dog in the free world.  The first time Michelle Obama enters a room with Bo, Mr. Williams forgets to even acknowledge the first lady’s presence, preferring to get down to eye level with Bo and tell him what a good dog he is.  In this web-only clip, Bo, after smelling the camera, tries to “Shake” with the boom mic and then, exhausted from the effort, takes a nap.  Enjoy!

And Now… Bo

And now the moment we’ve all been waiting for.  Ladies and gentlemen, Bo Obama.

Or, if you prefer a more hype-filled version, here’s Brian Williams’s breathless coverage.

It’s been a long time coming, but I think it was worth it.  Welcome to the national spotlight, Bo.

Meet Frank?

I only have time for a quick update to the Secretary of Puppy.  It seems the Obamas have settled on the Portuguese Water Dog, a fine choice if you ask me, and they expect to have it some time in the next month.  And, according to this story in People, the girls wanted to name it either Frank or Moose, both of which were rejected by their mother.  The funniest choice, of course, would be Maverick, but I don’t imagine they’ll go for anything that mean.  Suffice it to say, this puppy will fit nicely into the history of presidential puppies.  Lastly, here’s a video about turtles.  I didn’t know how cute they were, but Megan loved this video.
